Romans
Chapter 10

v14 How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how will they believe in him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without someone preaching?
v15 And how will they preach, unless they be sent? Just-as it has been written, ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who bring the gospel of peace and of those who bring the gospel of good things!' {Is. 52:7}

v16 But they did not all obey the gospel. For* Isaiah says, ‘Lord, who has believed our report?' {Is. 53:1}
v17 So belief comes from hearing and hearing by the word of God.

Matthew
Chapter 7

v24 Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and is doing them, he will be similar to a prudent man, who built his house upon the rock:
v25 and the rain came down and the rivers came up and the winds blew and fell down upon that house, and it did not fall: for* it had a foundation upon the rock.
v26 And everyone hearing these words of mine and who is not doing them, will be similar to a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand:
v27 and the rain came down and the rivers came up and the winds blew and hit that house and it fell and great was its fall.
