"For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain." Philippians 1:21
Introduction:
Paul was looking forward to death but realized he was needed to do a work – Philippians 1:23-25.

Live – To remain alive, living

Die – Separation of the soul from the body, life on earth ceases to exist.
 

I.   Living for Christ 
Live by faith in Christ - Galatians 2:20

Christ did die for us – Romans 5:6-8

Be servants of Christ- I Corinthians 7:20-24

Pleasing Christ not men – Galatians 1:10
 

II.   Living in Christ 
Being baptized and made alive unto God - Romans 6:1-11

We are baptized into Christ - Galatians 3:27

Being a New Creature - II Corinthians 5:17

Remaining faithful – Revelation 2:10

Making our calling and election sure – II Peter 1:10

Life is in Christ – II Timothy 1:1

There is persecution for those in Christ – II Timothy 3:15
 

III.   Dying in Christ
We will live eternally through Christ overcoming the penalty of death Adam’s sin brought - I Corinthians 15:22

Christ will save his body/Church – Ephesians 5:23/Ephesians 1:22-23 which we are baptized into I Corinthians 12:12-13
 

IV.   The Alternative
No hope – Ephesians 2:12-13

Having vengeance taken upon you – II Thessalonians 1:7-9

Be in Christ today –
