Brian Yeager Sometimes in the Church you see Christians that would be better off in Hollywood than the Kingdom of God. You see these so called "religious people" talk the talk and act the walk. They leave the services to the Lord and forget the cross that they are to carry. I can’t decide whether or not this is funny or I should be sick over it. I do know how God feels about these fence riders (Revelations 3:16). God said that those who are just lukewarm will be "spewed out of his mouth". Do you think that these "Christians" will hear the words "enter in thy good and faithful servant"? I believe not. The scriptures give us a definition of some of these workers. That definition is found in many forms that we might understand it. Christ gives us a great parable (KJV Matthew 13:24-30) "24. Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: 25. But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. 26. But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. 27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? 28. He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? 29. But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. 30. Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn." The explanation to these verses is very simple. The wheat was that of the good Christians the tares were the actors. Like all actors, the good servants finally noticed them, and the question arose on the action that should be taken. The master told them to wait until the harvest and then separate them to be burned. This is in reference to the judgment day. Many actors (tares) will find themselves gathered together to be burned, in the lake of fire, which is the second death (Revelation 20:14-15). The second example I would like to point out is found in (KJV Acts 20:28-30) "28. Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. 29. For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. 30. Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them." This passage is a warning to the elders at the congregation in Ephesus. The warning is to let them know that they are the overseers and are expected to try and notice when troubles are arising. The trouble in specific here is that of those dividing the congregation. That the elders should watch for these attempts. Not that they occur everywhere but the warning surely has to be heard. These "wolves" do not announce what there task is. They hid it well. The Lord’s Church is not to be divided (I Corinthians 1:10-13). The third and last example is one that we all should know it occurs in (KJV Luke 18:10-14) "10. Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.11. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. 12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. 13. And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. 14. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted." The point made is that the humble servant did that which was right and the other man exalted himself. This you will find most actors doing. Do not let these things hinder your work but let them fire your desires. Christ said in the parable of the wheat and tares that the separations are done in the final day. Do not let the problems set your growth back. We are warned and expectant of these things to occur. Let the word lead your life and these wolves will see your armor and leave you alone. The actors know that the servants recognize them. They are sometimes
to exhalted to fear the judgment. The Lord says that we have a place where
there will be none of these things (Revelation 21:1-7). Let us pray that
the actors leave their business and return to the work of the Lord. This
would be a victory in Jesus. If you’re an actor and your reading this article
stop acting and be faithful that you might receive everlasting life (Revelations
2:10).
